I've been working on websites since I was a teenager. I was obsessed at one point. I remember being one of the first people on our street with a computer and one of the few kids at school with the internet. After my mother was being nickel-and-dimed for small changes on her one page website, I decided to try to update her site myself. I started reading everything I could about HTML and image editing. It wasn't long before I was tinkering around with HTML and figuring out how to build simple, ugly webpages. I was soon hooked on web design. But this was only the beginning of the internet. It amazing looking back on it, just how far we've come.

After graduating from Eastern Wayne High School in 1999, I enrolled in Wayne Community College and began taking classical guitar classes and a web development course. The web development teacher saw that I was slightly ahead of most students and started letting me help check over work and tutor students on their HTML. I began doing websites for a few local companies in my home town of Goldsboro, NC. My cousin James and I decided to try our hand at doing web design on a larger scale. It seemed, however, that web design companies were springing up left and right. Eventually, we both focused more on school and moved on from the web design business.

Continuing on the computer path, I began working at Staples as a computer technician and did house calls in my spare time. I took an interest in computer repair, networking, and more complex web development. Not long after, I was brought on to assist a cellphone company in Greenville, NC as a IT Associate. This covered a variety of things including the website, computers, the network, and printers. During this time, I also worked on a classical guitar degree at East Carolina University (ECU), but eventually I opted to pursue my second passion, Archaeology. I began working for ECU's Campus Living as their web designer in 2008 while I also worked on my degree in Archaeology. My studies lead me to Central America several times and eventually to a Mayan archaeology site in Belize called La Milpa. It was here that I participated in the discovery of a tomb.

Upon my return to the US, I soon moved to Germany to study German and finish my Bachelors degree. I lived in Germany for a year and had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people and see some amazing sights. While in Germany, I enrolled in Graduate School at Texas State University in San Macos, Texas. I had not quite settled into Grad School when I met the woman that I would marry 2 years later. I wasn't very happy in Texas, and I wanted to move closer to my family and my girlfriend. Job searching became my pastime, and eventually lead me to Washington DC. I began working for Ullico Inc. in 2010 doing web development and design. Eventually I landed a job with NJI Media as a Senior Account Manager. The crew I work with is always a blast and I couldn't ask for a better job.
